UPDATE.. We have had a gazillion emails about Baxley, however he is still with us and we are still waiting for the right home. While he apparently did well with other large dogs in foster care in GA, we believe, based on what we have observed of him here in PA, that he would do best in a home with no cats and no other dogs. His chase drive is intense, and he is easily stimulated, so he needs a home with experienced dog owners who are committed to discipline and obedience training. This is Baxley and he is the newest member of the SSCR family. He is about a year old and the best way to describe his breed is to call him a mix between a labrador and an Irish wolfhound..maybe some giant schnauzer or labradoodle or even a bit of bouvier in the mix? it's hard to say. He has a coat that is black with beautiful gray wispy highlights. He is a happy and joyful dog... while he was in foster care in the south, the reports were that he was good with people and submissive with the other dogs of the household. He has been neutered and has all appropriate vaccines.. he is heartworm negative and has been microchipped. He is ready for his new home as soon as we can find the right family. As always, we prefer homeowners with safely fenced yards, but we do consider experienced leashwalkers on an individual basis.
